Hindu Temple Attacked in Canada by Khalistani Extremists, Leaders Voice Outrage

A recent violent incident at the Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton, Canada, carried out by individuals linked to Khalistani extremism, has drawn widespread condemnation from Canadian politicians. Canadian Member of Parliament Chandra Arya expressed strong disapproval, asserting that a “red line has been crossed” due to this act of violence by Khalistani extremists.

Canadian Leaders Condemn Attack on Hindu Sabha Temple

The assault on the temple provoked swift responses from several Canadian leaders, including opposition leader Pierre Poilievre, Toronto MP Kevin Vuong, and MP Chandra Arya. The leaders criticized the incident as a failure of the Canadian government to safeguard its Hindu population. Toronto MP Kevin Vuong remarked that Canadian leaders had neglected their duty to protect Hindu communities, echoing the disappointment of many affected by the attack.

The Indian government also publicly condemned the violence at the Brampton temple, noting that it had previously urged Canadian authorities to implement more robust security protocols for such religious events as part of their regular consular responsibilities.

Poilievre’s Call for Religious Freedom and National Unity

Pierre Poilievre, a prominent political rival to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, spoke out against the attack, emphasizing the importance of religious freedom and security. He criticized the violence, stating, “Completely unacceptable to see violence targeting worshippers at the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton today.” In his statement on X (formerly Twitter), Poilievre declared that his administration would focus on uniting Canadians and ending what he described as a “chaotic” environment for religious communities.

He underscored that all Canadians deserve the right to worship freely and peacefully, pledging that his party would work to restore order and ensure safety for all religious groups in the country.

Canada’s Growing Safe Haven for Radicalism: MP Vuong

Toronto MP Kevin Vuong voiced alarm at the situation, stating that Canada has inadvertently become a sanctuary for radical elements. He compared the government’s inaction toward Hindu, Christian, and Jewish communities, indicating that political leaders have failed to shield these groups from violent acts. Vuong shared his concerns on X, condemning the attacks and highlighting the need for equal protection for all religious communities.

He commented, “It’s disturbing to witness such an attack on Hindu Canadians. Canada has inadvertently provided a safe space for extremists. Our leaders are failing not only Hindu Canadians but also Christian and Jewish Canadians who deserve the right to practice their faith without fear.”

MP Arya: “Red Line Has Been Crossed” by Khalistani Extremists

MP Chandra Arya made a powerful statement against the violence, stressing that Khalistani extremism has escalated to unprecedented levels in Canada. Calling the recent attack a breach of tolerance and safety standards, he posted a video of the incident, highlighting the severity of the situation. Arya commented that this attack on Hindu-Canadian devotees at the Brampton temple demonstrates the aggressive and unchecked growth of violent extremism in the country.

“A red line has been crossed by Canadian Khalistani extremists today,” Arya stated. “This attack within the Hindu Sabha Temple premises shows how deep-rooted and emboldened Khalistani violent extremism has become in our nation.”

Viral Video of Attack Sparks Outrage

Following the incident, the Hindu Canadian Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting Canada’s Hindu community, released a video capturing the attack. The footage, which quickly went viral, shows Khalistani extremists assaulting men, women, and children at the temple, further fueling outrage among the community and the public at large.

In their post on X, the Hindu Canadian Foundation expressed concern and frustration, stating, “The Hindu Sabha Temple is under attack by #KhalistaniTerrorists #Khalistan. Women, children, and men are being targeted in this unprovoked assault, all while receiving support from pro-Khalistani political sympathizers.”
